The Ro-Bot!

A few weeks ago my dad made a key for a vintage 50s style wind-up toy robot he had gotten me for Christmas (the toy had somehow lost the key in transportation, so he made me a new one...check the Frank-It section of the website soon for details on that!).  So I had it sitting in a bag by the side door.  Matthew peered into the bag one day and exclaimed "The Row-Bot!  The Row-Bot!"  He was so excited to see it...and the best part was, we never told him it was called a robot, and he had only barely ever seen it before.  He made the leap of understanding between it and other robots he had seen, probably from a Backyardigans episode, all by himself!
