Just Like Daddy
Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 8:54PM On Saturday I was giving Matthew a bath before we went out to a wedding (a bath that he didn't even cry or wimper once when I washed his hair, I might add!) and he was trying to put his frog under the shower curtain (the water was high enough so that the curtain touched the edge of the water and would hold the frog in place). He said the frog was cold and that's why he was putting him there. I took the facecloth we use to wash his eyes and ears and gave it to him to put on the froggy as a blanket. During this whole ordeal, he turned to me at one point and said "Daddy, when I grow up, I want to be just like you." That gave me such an amazing feeling, it's just indescribably. Now all I have to do is get it on tape so I can show him when he's 18 and says he hates my guts and wants to be nothing like me!
